Frequently asked questions

What is the expected turn-around time for a custom order?

I take orders on first-come-first-served basis. Considering the time my ceramic process takes, the volume of orders I have in queue, and the care that I give each individual piece it's about 4-6 weeks to complete.

Are the mugs lead-free?

Yes! All of the mugs are created using non-toxic, food-safe materials.

Sizing details

The mugs are standard sized, holding 14 fluid ounces. A "jumbo" upgrade is available in my shop to translate any design to an 18 ounce mug.

Care instructions

All mugs are dishwasher safe. The colors will not scratch, peel or fade. With the exception of the 22K gold additions on specific mugs, they are microwave safe.
The nature of ceramics is fragile, as it can break if dropped or knocked against a hard surface.

Gift wrapping and packaging

All mugs include a kraft gift box. You may order gift wrap service to any item through the gift wrap listing in the shop.

What if I want to change the way my custom order looks?

I keep customers involved throughout the process and go to great lengths to make sure people get what they want.
If the coloring is not a perfect match I can touch it up and add it to my next glaze firing free of charge.
If the issue is not on my end (e.g. you changed your mind about the photo you gave me or you ordered the flower crown variation but didn't want the flower crown after all.. etc.) I charge a remake fee of $20, the labor is free it just covers the cost of materials, overhead (power used to fire the kiln), and restock of unwanted inventory.
